Toronto police say a 13-year-old boy and a 39-year-old man suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a car and a TTC bus late Monday.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Bathurst Street near Haddington Avenue, just south of Highway 401, at around 11:30 p.m. for reports of a collision.
Police said a black Hyundai was heading north on Bathurst in the right lane while a TTC bus, also heading north, was in the left lane.
The Hyundai then made a turn in the path of the bus and the two collided, police said.
A 39-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while a 13-year-old boy was seriously injured and was also taken to hospital.
Toronto paramedics previously indicated the man was 40 years old and the boy was 12.
Paramedics said the boy was taken to SickKids on a trauma alert.
The Toronto police Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate and anyone with video footage of the collision was asked to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
